Its done.....
I finished my third blanket this year & i'm dead happy
Its always such a good feeling to complete something, specially a pretty blanket.
Now I need to figure out where to put it
You know I quite like it in my sitting room, the rose color gives the room a real lift.
Am so pleased with the border, it took some work though
Also took the opportunity to take some photos of previous makes together
Such a happy feeling I got seeing all the colors together,
I think I've completed ten blankets since starting to crochet....think I need more???
Maybe I'll try something new....any suggestions!!!
Actually I do have something in mind, but I need to be extra careful
of tackiness...are you curious???
Back real soon
Lots of love Karen xxxxx
They are all beautiful!!!! I love them! I am almost done too.
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty and I think I know what you can do with the blanket you just finished. Yes, it does look good in your sitting room, but I know for a fact it would look fabulous in my house, hee-hee!!!! Love the colors and the border, beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHi, been following your blog for a while now. What a beautiful blanket! I love that edging, it was worth the extra work! And to answer your question, I say yes, you do need more blankets! I love them and keep on making them. Not up to ten yet, but getting there.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
What beautiful blankets, such gorgeous colours! And the edging really finishes it off, I'm over half way through my second ripple blanket and I think I may add an edging after seeing the effect on yours, good luck with finding your next projects, I think I might try a shawl just for me!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blankets.. I always stick to making solid colored blankets. I am not one who likes to tie in all those ends..LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I love that stack of lusciousness. The scalloped border on the latest is so pretty and the colors are amazing. Patty
ReplyDeleteOh my! Your blanket is to die for! I'm in love with it. It's so pretty! And, yes, I'm curious! XOXO

ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful blankets. I've yet to finish one of granny squares. I've made lots of squares, just haven't done anything with them. And still have tried a ripple. I don't think you can crochet anything that would be considered tacky. :) Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed. Such wonderful blankets, especially the last one completed. Gorgeous colours. I do like a bit of eye candy

It's beautiful, the edging really finishes it off and it looks great with all the others. Like you, I always think I should make something other than blankets, but still end up starting another one! xx
ReplyDeleteI love the colours, very CK, it's gorgeous! Wow 10 blankets, I thought I was a little excessive with the three I've made so far :D though saying that I can well imagine I could get to 10 easily! Well done for completing it :) Jenny x
ReplyDeleteOh hon, your new blanket is absolutely delicious! I have serious blanket envy - as it is my kind of colours and would look perfect in my lounge!!! Look at all your gorgeous creations - boy you have been busy.

ReplyDeleteThe colours are gorgeous, the borders are gorgeous, and isn't it a lovely feeling when you can finally put the hook down and look at it finished in all its glory!
Personally I don't think you can ever have too many blankets. I did say enough was enough 2 blankets ago but realised last night that I have 4 more colour combinations I NEED to get off my chest! The bug hits you and it's hard to shake off!
Have a super day!

I love all your blankets; they are gorgeous! Can't wait to see your next project. Gaia.
ReplyDeleteWhen will I ever "get with it" and learn to crochet like that? So far all I do is edging here and there and other little things.
ReplyDeleteThis latest of yours has to be one of my favorites. Those colors are simply gorgeous!

Oh Karen! Your blanket is just beautiful. Then as I scrolled down further in the post and saw your lovely stack of blankets .... just took my breath away! :o) If it were not so stinking hot here, I would grab my hook and yarn. :o) Yes, I am very curious what you have up your sleeve. I just adore the granny stripes and keep making them over and over again. :o)
