Just thought I'd pop in real quick, before i go over to our Friday morning thrift shop. Made up my first etsy bag yesterday & am dying to show it to you.....................
Here's the work in progress, have to say the fabric is so much harder to work with than cottons.
Also my lovely Pfaff sewing machine is in for a service, its a fab machine, semi industrial & sews over absolutely anything, so i was using my back up, which is so much lighter & slower.
But hey!!!!
We got there in the end :D
I love how the fabric made up, what an absolute blessing to have found it. I tell you I'll be scouring thrift shops for more!!!!
I'll make up two or three more, then open the shop, soooooo excited!!!
Well better dash........ hope you all have a sweet day & a restful weekend
Lots of love Karen Xx
Oh it's gorgeous Karen. I think I may get bag addiction!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have an eye for matching fabric and color. Best of wishes for your etsy shop, I want to open one with hand knitted baby/toddler clothes etc. Have been a bit slack getting stock made, although a lot of things I have knitted has been sold to friends.
ReplyDeleteYour scones look delish, I love scones.
xx Sandi
It's beautiful. I spied that plum colour in your pile of fabrics last time and knew you would use that first!

Hi Karen, best of luck with your shop. Your purse turned out beautifully. What a great way to repurpose old blankets. I love how your afghan of many squares turned out. Great idea to mix it up. And the scones and jam. Yum! I've gained several kilos in the past 5 months and am not too happy about that at all. Now with the sprained ankle, I won't be doing any walking for a while. Phooey! :/ Have a great weekend. Tammy
